If you've ever had to do your outer tie rod ends, you'll know what a bitch the lock nuts can be. If you're lucky enough to own a hoist, no problem, but if you're poor like me and are doing it on the ground, getting leverage is tough. This tip may help you out. The photo is pretty self-explanatory and keep your penetrating oil handy. Just follow the set-up; holding the wrenches in place as you push down on your pry bar. (The monkey wrench is on the lock-nut; the combination wrench is on the flat surface part of the tie rod end.)
