  1. 1

Remove the front bumper. Instructions can be found in the article linked at the bottom of the

  2. 2

The intake pipes that go around the radiator prevent you from getting to the inside rear bolt, so you need to unbolt this pipe to gain access. To do this, first remove the nose panel (if you haven't already) and loosen the two hose clamps that hold the 'T' pipe to the hard pipes. Remove the 'T' pipe from the hard pipes.

  3. 3

In the engine bay, loosen the clamps that attach the flexible intake pipes (that go to the throttle bodies)to the hard pipes that go around the radiator. There is one on each side of the radiator. Remove both intake pipes from the hard pipes.

  4. 4

There is a 10mm bolt holding the each hard pipe to the body of the car which needs to be removed. Remove both using a 10mm socket or wrench. The hard pipes are now free to move.

  5. 5

Move the hard pipe to gain access to the rear inside bolt. Remove the bolt using a 12mm socket.

  6. 6

Just forward of the rear inside bolt is the nut which fastens the front inside corner of the light to the body. Remove it.

  7. 7

Moving to the front outside corner of the headlight, there is another 12mm nut fastening it to the body. Remove it.

  8. 8

There is one final 12mm bolt on the outside rear corner of the headlight which needs to be removed.

  9. 9

Unplug the high and low beam connectors, and lift the headlight upward to remove it. Repeat steps 5-9 for the other side.

  • A flashlight may prove useful.
  • If you have a shallow socket and a swivel, you may be able to get to the inside rear bolt without moving the hard pipe, but it is a very tight squeeze.
