The windshield wipers on the 2006 Chevrolet Impala will eventually wear down and require replacement. It is best to catch damaged windshield wipers before they are needed because driving through inclement weather with poor windshield wipers is a safety risk. Check your wipers regularly for cracks in the rubber blade or other anomalies and replace them as needed. A mechanic is not needed to replace the wipers.

Push the wiper arm down onto the windshield.

  6. 6

Repeat Steps 1 through 5 with the remaining windshield wiper.
