I drilled out my floorboards tonight so i could access the freespinning Cage Nuts for the rear control arm bolt.

I followoed ACRucrazy's steps in his project log. and figured i would post mine here in order to help others with this problem.

first i measured 3 inches from the crease where the firewall meets the floorboard. and 5 inches over from the wheel well curve.

(Marked by cross hair in blue paint)

using a 2 1/2in hole saw drill bit i drill at the previously made mark.


after drilling through you can gain access to the Cage nut My drivers side nut is freespun and is corroded and rusted badly


however my passenger side nut looks brand new and i'm hoping i won't have problems with this one.
